Trend setting, innovative, fashionable. These are the small concerns of todays people, from all walks of life. Yet there appears to be an even greater rising concern. How is what we do affecting our "EARTH"? Whether its what we eat, what household products we use or even what fabrics we wear, the words organic, earth-friendly and eco-conscious are becoming more and more common. So the question then becomes, what can I do to help the planet that I love? The planet that continues to give to us generation after generation. The choices that we make have a substantial impact on the enviroment and its no secret that our earth is crying out from our insensitive nature. 

My name is Nathalie Villedrouin, I was born in Port-au-Prince Haiti in November of 1977. My family settled in Miami when I was 9 years old. In 1999 I graduated with a degree in Fashion Design from the International Fine Arts College in Miami, FL. Since then, I’ve worked for a multitude of apparel companies. But through it all I knew that I wanted to be different. As a designer I wanted to do something different, something more meaningful. I wanted to have a clothing line with a purpose.

So what can I contribute? How can I give back to the earth that we take so much from? The answer came after watching a Youtube video called “The Conventional Trap”. It was about the making of conventional cotton. Ever wonder what goes into making that soft pre-shrunk, pre-washed cotton tee you love to wear? I didnt.. But what I learned changed my whole outlook on how I viewed the garment industry in which I was a part of, specifically in the area of cotton, the famous everyday fabric..
